We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend here at our house. It started on Friday night when we went to a bonfire with Mark & Krista. We had a great time and the kids had so much fun. It was their first time at a bonfire. Mark pulled the girls around in the wagon and they LOVED it!
Rich LOVES, and I mean LOVES to poke the fire. Joy decided to stop by (but not get to close to the fire thankfully) and pose for a picture with Daddy.
Mark gave Joy some marshmallow and she didn't like (which is very surprising). She ended up spitting it all over her arm, so of course I had to get a picture (albeit a blurry one).
Grace loves to hold her cousin Gavin, so we both cuddled with him a bit. He is such a sweet baby!
Saturday was the kick off to college football. As you can see Grace was very very excited!
I bought the girls matching cheer leading outfits, and they finally got to wear them. I can definitely see Grace wanting to become an actual cheerleader in the future.

Today we went swimming with Nate, Staci & Jaime and had a wonderful time. Joy became very brave once she had swimmies on. I bet if there were a little more time in the summer that she would be swimming really well by the end of it. She enjoys jumping off the edge of the pool, although it scares us because she starts counting and you never know which number she is going to jump in on.
Grace likes to hang on the edge of the pool or on a raft. She reminds me a lot of my mom! She was enjoying sipping her lemonade.
All in all, we had a great weekend and for that matter a great summer! While I'm ready for the fall, I will miss the care-free days of summer.

Great pictures Darcie! We had a great time at the pool with you guys. Actually a great summer with your family! I'm so sad it's over, although I think today was the hottest day of the summer! I already miss our pool Mondays!

Thank you Darcie and Rich for the great pictures of our precious family. We are happy to see the happy times you share with each other, with friends, and with other family as well. Gavin is such a sweet little boy, so glad the girls have a cousin. By next summer he too will join in the swimming fun.
All is well here as summer ends...Grandpa says he doesn't get a holiday when he is retired. I haven't seen much 'retirement time' in him yet. He is one busy GGPA and he loves his family just as GGMA does. Love to all of you!!
