We had a great time on vacation this past week with Rich's dad's side of the family. We went to Bear Lake in Northern Michigan. We stayed in this cozy little cottage right on the lake and had a blast! The whole family came - even the dog. I think this was the most fun week of Charlie's entire life.

Gracie loved the lake - especially when Rich or Uncle C would hold her. She also loved throwing rocks off the end of the dock with Linda.

Just kidding... Rich was holding onto the boat the whole time. No need to call Child Protective Services.
Charlie LOVED the lake. There is no other way to describe it. He literally spent hours in the lake each day. He liked to chase after Rich and Chris on the kayak, fish for minnows and just swim around. He was so tired each night, he wouldn't even move when you said the word treat.
We found this life jacket for Grace while we were there and boy oh boy did she ever love it. She wouldn't take it off. We finally had to hide it from her so we could get her dressed.
Joy didn't ever go in the water, but she had a great time hanging out on the blanket.

Joy enjoying her first campfire ever on Linda's lap. She was mesmerized by it.We had such a good time on this vacation. Great time with family and a lot of fun was had by all. Thanks Dad J., Linda and Chris for such an awesome vacation. We can't wait to do it again next year (well hopefully.)

Go Charlie, Go. What a great swimmer...glad you got to have such fun on your vacation. Glad too that you took your family with you Charlie...looks like they all had great fun together. They are a pretty special family aren't they? I must admit that you look at times as though Grace and Joy wear you out. Be patient fellow, the fun is just beginning.
