We took Joy to the doctor on Monday for her 4 month check up. She weighed in at 15 lbs. 10 oz. and 26" long. That puts her in the 95% for weight and 85% for height. She is just such a little chubbers, but she's so darn cute!! I've heard that it is healthy for a baby to double their birth weight in about 6 months and she did that in three and a half months. She is just a head of the curve. :)
She loves to sit up. Well with support of course, but she hates it when she is laying on her back and can't get up and see what is going on.
Joy had her first few bites of cereal on a spoon tonight. She did really really well. Of course like all babies she didn't really understand how to use her tongue properly, but she started to get the hang of it near the end. Hopefully this will help her sleep even longer through the night.
What a little sweet heart!

Wow! Joy you are eating cereal already? Congratulations! You'll get the hang of it! You are becoming such a big girl. I love your pictures! You look especially adorable sitting in your stroller. I'm sure you love going for walks with your mom and dad!
See you later!
Joy is just precious! She has such a sweet face and seems to be very photographic!
Great news she is going to lighten up the demand on mom by trying to eat some additional goodies!
I LOVE all the pictures and that you are keeping them posted regularly too - Thanks for sharing.
Mom (Grandma) D :)
Our love to sweet little Joy. Our love to sweet big sister Grace. Our love to Mommie and Daddy...they are the greatest!!! Now I will have some more GGrandma pictures for 'show & tell' time. You don't look too bad with cereal on your face Joy, When your Grandma was little Gerber's made egg yolk in a jar. GGpa said, "can you feed her that sometime other than meal time". I don't think Gerber's makes that anymore. Must be too many Daddys objected to 'egg on the face' babies. We love our girls, GGpa and GGma F.
Rich and Darc,
Oh, I've just caught up on all the pics. Your little family is so, so cute. Precious little Joy is growing like a weed. Her eyes are so big and beautiful. My goodness! And, Grace, what a perfect little treasure. Pretty as a flower.
Love all of you.
Shar, Grandma Shar, or great aunt Shar...or whatever!
P.S. Pool is open. Should be ready for swimming very soon.
Joy is a doll. Sounds like she is not lacking for nourishment! What a cutie!
Hey, I want to send some pictures of Evee. I don't have an email address for you guys, though. Send me your address at gwendjack@yahoo.com
Thanks!
Grandma F. - No I don't think that they sell egg yolk in the jar anymore...THANKFULLY! I don't think I could stomach to feed that to my kids.
Shar - So glad to hear the pool is open. Gracie (and Rich too)can hardly wait to go swimming.
Gwen - I sent you our e-mail address. I can't wait to see pictures of Evee.
