We had a great week at our house last week. Rich's brother Chris (Uncle C) came for a visit. It is always great to have him around and we had so much fun! We went more to the beach last week than we'd been all summer. Rich & Chris LOVE the beach and swimming in the water.
Gracie is in love with her Uncle C. She was very devastated when he left on Sunday. Hopefully we'll see him around the holidays.

The Lighthouse off in the foggy distance. There was a storm that was rolling in so it was hard to see the lighthouse.
On Saturday we went to the Coast Guard parade. Grace got her face painted again. I think it may be her new favorite thing. Although, she wasn't as good this tie about leaving it alone.
She was so excited the whole time during the parade. She kept getting more and more candy. Rich & I are enjoying the fruits of the labor! :)
Joy finally got into Uncle C on Friday. Of course it took her all week to warm up. She is such a stinker sometimes! She also was sad to see him go on Sunday. Well, we all were!
Nate was in the parade for Science Olympiad. Grace was so excited to see him in the float, and Joy just stood there dumbfounded that she knew someone in the float. After his float passed she kept saying "Hi Nee(that's her name for Nate)". She couldn't' figure out where Nee went.

We had a great time at the parade. This was our first time and we plan to go back next year for many years to come. We had great seats, and the people we were sitting by even let us sit on the curb so our kids could see. That was so nice of them!
We had so much fun with Uncle C! And he was a big help with the girls. We can't wait to see you again hopefully somewhat soon!

What a delight to see such a happy family time. And we are guessing Uncle C. was a wee bit sad at leaving Grace and Joy also. He is blessed with two beautiful nieces. We're glad for the visit with your brother Rich...great to have him to share things with. Loved seeing the parade...the lake and beautiful girls at the beach, (meaning Grace & Joy) and Grace's lovely face painting.
