I know the title of this blog is well...gross, but it explains to a "T" what has been going on in our house for the past 72 hours, and really there is no end in sight.
It all started early Friday morning when Grace woke up crying pretty early, but then she stopped so I didn't think much of it. Turns out she had thrown up all over herself and her bed. I knew we were in for at least one long day of the flu, but little did I know it would spread among the family. Joy started to run a fever later Friday evening, but never got sick so I was hoping this would just be isolated to Grace.
Grace continued to throw up some of yesterday but seemed to be getting better. About 2 hours before bed, Rich started saying that he didn't feel good either. I was just hoping it was all in his head and that a good night's sleep would help him out. He was up 4 times throwing up last night, and well I was up too because I could hear him. YUCK!
Grace seemed better this morning, but got sick again. She hasn't thrown up since 8 a.m. so I'm hoping we're turning the corner. I knew today was going to be hard with Rich out of commission but thought I would manage because at least Joy was feeling good.
Ha! Right after I fed Joy lunch she got sick all over everything. The poor thing has never done anything more than spit up so she didn't really know what to do and had this terrified look on her face. Thankfully, a bath cheered her up as well as a two hour nap.
Rich remains sick currently, and Gracie is I believe on the mend. But then again, this is all subject to change at any moment. Apparently I must have super Mom immunity because I have yet to get it and I'm the one cleaning up after everyone. It probably helps that I'm sanitizing like crazy! I CAN'T GET SICK!!! So let's all hope & pray I don't get it, please God, don't let me get this!
The highlight of the weekend was when Nate & Staci braved coming to the Puke Fest to deliver Grace a birthday present. They got her a Cinderella doll and t-shirt! Grace loves them. They also got Joy a Cinderella doll. They both are playing with them, well as well as any sick kids can. So thanks goes to Nate & Staci! It was great to see you all, as brief as it was.
So all in all, not the greatest weekend, but we're managing. I'm hoping for a much better week. It has to get better, right?

Your poor family! We're praying for you and praying that God gives you strength and keeps your mom immunity going strong. You are such a trooper. You battled this junk a couple of weeks ago and I know you'll get through it because you're Super Mom!!
I'm glad they liked their dolls. Tell Rich I'll make him more brownies when he can fully enjoy it. I could tell he wasn't feeling like himself Saturday.
We love you guys and hope to see your well family soon!
Our love to the 'sickies' and to the 'wellies' and to those in between. So sorry for all of this sickness, and we send love. Our prayers for a quick recovery for each and everyone.
Love from GGMA & GGPA Frandsen
