A Very Long Random Post

Well I have finally found time to blog and add pictures. I took Joy to the doctor yesterday for her 15 month check up. She continues to do great! She weighed in at 25 lbs. 9 oz (80th percentile) and 31" (75th percentile). They said the sickness she and Rich have is a virus that is going around. When she told me it could last up to 2 weeks, I just wanted to scream! Thankfully it looks like my 2 sickies are starting to improve quite a bit over the last 24 hours.

Here is a picture of the 2 sickies sleeping on the couch. At least they could cuddle each other without fear of getting someone else sick.

Two weekends ago Rich & I were able to get away for a night. Let me just tell you, it was heavenly! We had a great time shopping, eating out without constantly having to throw food at the kids, shop some more, relax, swim in the pool, and the icing on the cake - 1o hours of sleep! When we woke up on Saturday morning we just looked at each other and laughed - when was the last time we had 10 hours of sleep?? It was so special to get away. Thank you so so so so very much to our best friends Nate & Staci.
You guys are the best and we never worry when we leave our kids with you guys! Thanks again!
The girls enjoyed their first ice cream cone of the season a couple of weeks ago. This was Joy's first "real" ice cream experience. Let me tell you - she is a fan! She must take after her Dad on this one. Grace was of course more interested in the slide than eating, but she enjoyed some bites.

It has been unseasonably warm here lately, which has been great! We have been going to the park quite a bit. Joy hasn't been wanting to ride in the stroller as much, which is great for burning energy, but kills how long it takes to get to the park now.
She thinks she is such a big girl, because she can climb up to the slide all by herself. Where has my baby gone?
Grace is excited that we are going to the park frequently. She has to wear her sunglasses of course. I think every time we go there she makes a new friend. My little social butterfly.
She is becoming so independent. She does not want ANY help on the play equipment. This does make going to the park easier, but a little sad at the same time. The count down to turning 3 is on!

What fun pictures...eating ice cream cones. yummy, but I'm a bit more like Grace, just a quick bite.
Thank you Rich and Darcie for the very lovely picture of the two of you. You look so happy, you look so in love. This gladdens a Grandmother heart. You two are so special, and you have two very, very special little girls. Love to all, GGMA & GGPA Frandsen
