This past weekend Grace, my mom and I made some Christmas cookies. This was Grace's first time and she LOVED it. She did so well and actually stuck with it the majority of the time. We thought for sure she would be bored after 10 minutes - she is our busy-body you know. Maybe she'll end up loving to cook and bake like I do.
Grandma gave her a special shirt to wear so that she didn't get any flour on her pretty clothes.
Grandpa helped to keep Joy entertained. But of course Joy can't go long without me holding her - little stinker. Although, I'm sure there will come a day when I'll miss her wanting to be held.
We finally gave Grace her own ball of dough to play with. Don't worry if you eat any cookie's from us, they were not previously played with by Grace. :)
Even Joy thought that she would try cutting a cookie. Better luck next year Joy!

Grandma's love Christmas Cookie time as much as the little ones do. I shall never forget my trips to Kalkaska during Grandpa's deer hunting season...the special Michcon shirts for Mark and Darcie, and the flourie mess in Mom's kitchen. Mark especially liked the thick frosting on the cookies...or lots of colored sugar.
Darcie, you were about Grace's age, and you loved the dough. These are happy memories, thank you for the beautiful pictures of all of my favorite girls. GGma F
Happy munching on those Christmas cookies!
Grandma -
I loved making Christmas cookies with you as a girl, and I'm so glad that I get to pass the tradition onto my girls.
Love you!
P.S. I still love the dough :)
What fun memories you are making! I loved making Christmas cookies with my mom and grandma too. The picture with you and Grace is too adorable, and Joy too!
Merry almost Christmas!
