Grace was sick (again)

We took Grace to the doctor this past Thursday for her 2 year check up. She weighed 24 1/2 lbs. and is 33" long. This puts her roughly in the 30% for her age (compared to Joy who is in the 85-90%.) She is just a little petite girl. We also found out that she has a nasal infection. Well after the doctor appointment we decided to grab some lunch at Panera. Just about when we were getting ready to leave Grace threw up all over Rich and herself. Needless to say people were looking at Rich and totally grossed out. It was pretty much the most disgusting thing that I've ever seen happen in a restaurant. She proceded to throw up 8 more times at home. So 6 loads of laundry and baths later she finally stopped throwing up. Yesterday she did not throw up, but was super clingy and lethargic. She was not her normal self. Luckily, my Mom was on Spring Break this week so she was able to come over and help out. It was nice to have Grace cuddling instead of buzzing around constantly. Tonight we think she has finally turned the corner because she was up dancing with Elmo, singing and chatting up a storm. Praise God that our little girl is on the mend.
Who is that hairy guy Grace is sleeping next to? Oh wait it's just Rich. :)

Grace basically refused to drink so we tried popsicles. Thanks Mom for the suggestion.

Grace later on this evening when she started feeling better. She wanted to "hold" Joy.

Joy is glad that things are returning to normal around here too.

Dear Jackson Four,
I love the pics--but I have to echo your question about who that "hairy creature" is that Gracie is snuggling up to on the bed. Looks pretty scary to me.

Your little family is so cute. Grace and Joy look pretty much opposite to each other as far as looks go.

Oh, the throw-up story. I can relate. We took Kendra to a Tigers baseball game one HOT day in July when she was about two or three. She was especially quiet throughout the game. At the end, Cec picked her up to go home, and she threw up all down the back of his shirt and pants. It was a tight crowd getting out of there, and everyone could see the throw-up as we were trying to move our way through the stands and past the mobs of sweaty people. Then she threw up again before we got out, and again in the parking lot, and again in the car and again in the hotel room and AGAIN throughout the night. Okay, you get the picture. (smile) Ah, parenthood...

Luv and Hugs,
Shar

Shar -
That is a great story about Kendra. We now laugh about Grace throwing up in Panera, but I don't think we'll ever sit at that table again.

Our girls I think will stay looking complete opposites. It makes me excited to see what the 3rd child will look like. (Hopefully we won't see the 3rd child for a couple of years.)
